Mind power is a store house of energy in every individual that can help us move mountains… There is a funny dialogue about mind and matter, from a movie that I saw which stayed with me and it goes, “What is mind—Nothing but matter!”, and “What is matter – Oh never mind!”
The human mind is virtually unlimited in scope and possibility. There is an ongoing debate about whether it is the heart or the brain, which we would actually call an individual’s mind. Often we take decisions which are dictated by our emotions and we say, we let our heart rule our head.
At other times we take tough stands on issues and we feel we listened to reason or we let the mind override our heart. But the fact of the matter is that when we talk about the mind and its power we are “scientifically” referring to the brain.
An outstanding example and personification of mind power is that Stephen Hawking, one of the most gifted scientists of our times. He single-handedly and despite all the physical problems he faced was able to take higher scientific knowledge and interest in science to the common man. He remains a role model for millions of people.
We have all heard of ‘Telekinesis’ which means the movement of objects physically by mind power, spirits or ghosts. The scientific community refused to accept the existence of such a phenomenon, yet parapsychologists conducted numerous studies and experiments to assess the extent of influence of the human mind on physical objects.
This finally led to the origin of the term ‘Psycho-kinesis’ in the 19th century. There are many famous exponents of ‘Psycho-kinesis’ e.g., Martin Caidin, a novelist who could move energy wheels kept at a distance on a table or tables…
Uri Geller who could bend spoons… Nina Kulagina and also Felicia Parise who was inspired by Nina Kulagina films and could move matter such as compass needles, plastic pill containers and aluminum foil.
If one looks at those who practice Yoga one can find many instances of ordinary people using their mind power to levitate themselves or going into a state of trance. They can even relax their bodies to an extent that their breathing slows down to extremely low levels to give the observer the perception that the yogi is lifeless.
One can also use mind power very effectively to attain ones goals by following the visualization technique. This involves a person actually closing one’s eyes and visualizing or using the law of attraction mixed with intense feelings of desire and right action to achieve one’s goal.
One can also see mind power in instances where one feels there is a telepathic connection with certain people they are very close to. There are also numerous instances where alternative healing techniques have made miraculous changes in a person suffering from diseases.
Reiki uses mind power to heal people — it can also be given over long distance. This is also the reason why people who use mind power e.g. psychics, clairvoyants and faith healers are so famous and sought after even today in the new aeon we live in.
